At Spout Springs Church, we want to help you find your God-given direction. Not only is Serving an excellent way to discover how God created you and what you were created for, but it also allows you to get to know the people within our community and church. Serving God strengthens your relationship with Him and provides an opportunity for you to connect with the people in your community.

We have some teams that serve on Sunday mornings, but at SSC, serving goes beyond our campus, and there are plenty of opportunities for you to be involved any day of the week. All of these teams have a passion to help each other grow into the people He created us to be, while reaching others both inside and outside of the church. We have opportunities for you to serve on a regular basis, or at a specific event or program.

How Do I Get Connected?

Look for one of two places to fill: a place of passion and a place of need

– a place of passion – What lights your fire? What do you love to do? Find something that gets you excited about serving.

– a place of need – Do you see an area that could use some improvement in the church? Is there something that you can do that’s not necessarily your #1 pick, but you can support in some way?

The church thrives when people are serving in both a place of passion and a place of need, but feel free to start with either one.

“Test drive” a ministry

– in other words, try it out and see if it’s a good fit. If not, move on to something else guilt free, no questions asked.

Wherever you decide to serve, whether it’s on campus or in the community, we are excited that you have decided to plug in and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for you!

Ministries Serving At Sunday Services

This ministry serves from the parking lot to the seats!  First Impressions team members assist guests with parking, greet people, answer questions, escort new visitors, register new families with children’s ministry, tell people about the church, and hand out Bibles. You get to help people feel comfortable as they are trying out a new church, or maybe even church for the very first time!

Next Generation is our ministry to parents and their children.  If you’d like to partner with parents in developing the faith of the next generation and helping strengthen parent-child relationships, this is your place.  With close to 200 children attending each weekend, opportunities abound, from teaching to holding babies or even helping parents register their children.  (We also have opportunities to work with youth outside of Sunday mornings.)

Musicians and vocalists can join this team to serve on Sundays while sharing their God given skills!

This ministry has a wide range of opportunities to plug in using your skills and interests!  The Production Booth team and the Computers team serve on Sunday mornings and at other special events.  There is also opportunity for youth to serve with the tech team.

This team, including a youth team, works behind the scenes to provide intercessory prayer for our church, community, and anyone who asks to be placed on our prayer list.  There is also a Blue Bag ministry that walks people through having a relationship with Christ.

Ministries Serving Outside Sunday Services

Our purpose is to connect members of SSC with God and His work,
loving others, throughout our community, state, nation, and the
world.  Our three focuses are Jerusalem (local, including Community Outreach), Judea/Samaria (national), and ends of the earth (international).
